Kalber (Kaelber) Family Genealogy
Welcome to the Kalber Family Genealogy page! I became interested in genealogy at a very young age and with the passing of my father, the interest only deepened. Over the past 5 year I have delved head first into tracing my heritage and documenting it as well as I could. Over this time I have met some truly fantastic and lovely individuals that have helped my research tremendously! I decided to create this site to hopefully help any others that may be in need of some of this information and to also connect with others that can further my research!
Throughout the site you will note two variations in spelling of our surname. From the research and information that I have found, KALBER was, and continues to be spelled with two dots above the "a". The translation for such an accent to English is "AE". Of the two known brothers that immigrated from Germany, Johann Christian used the correct translation of KAELBER whereas Gottfried and my lineage kept the German spelling KALBER minus the accent.
